چکیده
The paper presents the development of a fully-safe, automatic rendezvous strategy between passive vehicle and an active one orbiting around Earth–Moon L2 Lagrangian point. This is critical phases future missions to permanently return Moon, which are interest majority space organizations. first step in study derivation suitable full 6-DOF relative motion model Local Vertical Horizontal reference frame, most for design guidance. main dynamic approximated using both elliptic circular three-body motion, due contribution Earth Moon gravity. متن کاملFree space laser communication experiments from Earth to the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter in lunar orbit.
Laser communication and ranging experiments were successfully conducted from the satellite laser ranging (SLR) station at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) to the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) in lunar orbit. The experiments used 4096-ary pulse position modulation (PPM) for the laser pulses during one-way LRO Laser Ranging (LR) operations. Reed-Solomon forward error correction codes ...

The Engineering Test Satellite VII (ETS-VII), launched by National Space Development Agency of Japan (NSADA) on November 1997, has been successfully flown and carried out a lot of interesting orbital robotics experiments with a 2 meter-long, 6 DOF manipulator arm mounted on this un-manned spacecraft. The ETS-VII should be noted as one of remarkable outcomes of research effort on space robots, p...
متن کاملSun-earth L1 Region Halo-to-halo Orbit and Halo-to-lissajous Orbit Transfers
Practical techniques for designing transfer trajectories between Libration Point Orbits (LPOs) are presented. Motivation for development of these techniques was provided by a hardware contingency experienced by the Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), a joint mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) orbiting the L1 point of the Su...
متن کاملHalo orbit mission correction maneuvers using optimal control
This paper addresses the computation of the required trajectory correction maneuvers for a halo orbit space mission to compensate for the launch velocity errors introduced by inaccuracies of the launch vehicle. By combining dynamical systems theory with optimal control techniques, we are able to provide a compelling portrait of the complex landscape of the trajectory design space. This approach...
